The 2018 SHL Draft was full of surprises, and great prospects. The Kimberly Knights acquired a complementary partner to Elias Stahn in Vaino Antilla, while other teams such as the Green Hornets and Brown Buccaneers have acquired their future(s) in net.

    Vaino Antilla, D, NT Tech

Vaino Antilla had a record season before being drafted, finishing with 13 goals and 44 assists for 57 points in 43 games, leading NT Tech to a championship and scoring the game winner, winning 3-2 over rival KNP Tech. Regarded as a defensive superstar, Vaino joins the SHL/XHL at 18 years of age, but is remarkably higher than most of his competition. Kimberly would be considered foolish to not provide a roster spot for this young prodigy.

In Game 7 against Team X, Damon City had a 3-2 lead as they entered the third period. Chad Mackenzie, star forward of Team X, scored two goals which resulted…
