Oliver Marton is the captain of the 16px-Urlogo.png Ultimate Royals, known as one of the greatest players in the league. He has accumulated over 1000 points, standing at 1201 as of the 2014-2015 Season. Oliver's leadership and skills have named him as "The Ultimate One" and has led the Royals to two cups, in 2005-2006 and 2007-2008. Due to his excellence in stickplay and vision, Oliver is credited as one of the league's greatest players, and shares a rivalry with 16px-TeamXLogo.png Team X player Nick Phillips. Oliver was selected as the 1st overall pick in the 2004 SHL Draft, where he was ranked as a 93, the highest of any player in the league in a draft.

His accolades in-game include being a two-time winner of the Majestic Trophy as league MVP in his successful season (2005-2006 Season) where Oliver lead Ultimate to their first cup and at the time captured the record for most goals in a season with 61. He had later gone on to beat his record during the 2011-2012 Season, scoring 72 goals and being tied for 2nd all time in most goals in a season. Oliver is known for his exceptional sportsmanship as well, most notably in terms of his professional conduct and discipline. During the 2015-2016 Season when Ultimate just missed the playoffs, Oliver scored 20 game winning goals (amounting to 63% of their wins) and expressed utter disappointment at the lack of heart in his team. The following season, Oliver and the Royals managed to rebound to a 42-19-9 season, losing in the third round to the Green Hornets. Because of the captaincy and sportsmanship, Oliver is highly credited to making Ultimate the successful team that it is.

Marton is heavily regarded as "arguably one of the most talented" players in the SHL, but has additionally earned monikers such as "The Shadow" due to a lot of fans stating he comes second to his rival. Despite this, Oliver has proven to be resilient under pressure and players such as Nick Phillips say "he is a better captain than I."
