Teams

The SHL has 24 teams in the league, split into four divisions from 2004-2010, and then from 2015 onwards. From 2003-2004, only four teams existed. From 2004-2009, 16 teams existed. From 2009-2014, 20 teams existed. From 2014-2016, 24 teams existed. After 2016, four new teams will join the league.
