Career[]
Anton Carlyle was drafted originally by , according to the 2014 SHL Draft, but Team X wished to acquire a center as they noticed Team Daiku needed a goalie due to Gemel and Jeremy's retirement. Igius Gonzalez was later given to X for Carlyle, and Carlyle became the head goaltender for Team Daiku, alongside Wes Pickard, who Daiku acquired from the lower leagues. He was friends with Michael Torio in the lower leagues, and like Torio, he states that versing his former ally in the SHL will be interesting.
Anton's performace has notably made him nominated for the Soundwave Trophy, for the biggest breakthrough of the year. He has made back to back shutouts against the Brown Buccaneers (3-0, 21 saves) and the Green Hornets (2-0, 40 saves), a feat not seen with TD goalies since 2009-2010. Anton Carlyle recorded his fifth shutout in his fifteenth appearance against the Red Nukes with a 1-0 victory where he made 39 saves.
On February 21st, 2015, Anton made his tenth shutout, making 42 saves against the Airdrie High Angels with a 2-0 victory. In February he was named #1 on the Honour Roll, making three highlights in that game alone and netting 1st star 4 times that month. Anton was the first goalie ever for Team Daiku to make a shutout with over forty saves, a feat he has done twice, against Green and Airdrie.
During the 2017-2018 Season, Carlyle signed a six-year, $39 million dollar extension, earning him $6.5 million a season.
